Boat insurance costs tend to be more expensive for residents of coastal states because boats in these areas are usually larger and more expensive. Also, since the weather is warmer year-round, people can use their boats yearly, which means a higher likelihood of accidents.
Thursday, Nov. 9th 2023 9:42 AM
States with low-cost boat insurance tend to be inland without direct access to a coastline. States on the Great Lakes also tend to have lower insurance rates because the boats used there are smaller than those used on the ocean, and the boating season is shorter than in southern states.

How To Choose an Appropriate Life Jacket — Not all life jackets are equal. There are a few things that you need to keep in mind when purchasing and using this vital piece of equipment: ¦Make sure the life jacket is U. S. Coast Guard-approved. If it is not approved, DO NOT BUY IT! It is not considered a valid life jacket and may not work as you would expect it to when needed. ¦Make sure the life jacket fits the intended wearer. The easiest way to check whether it fits is to do up the jacket and tighten the straps. Have someone pull up on the shoulders of the jacket. If the jacket pops up to your ears, it is too large and will likely come off when you enter the water. ¦Make sure the jacket is in good condition. If your life jacket has rips, tears, missing buckles, etc., it is time to purchase a new one! ¦Make sure the life jacket will work for the intended activity. Inflatable life jackets cannot be worn during activities when there is even the slightest chance you will knock unconscious, such as water skiing or riding a PWC. Also you must be at least 16 to wear an inflatable life jacket.

Staggered registration is similar to motor vehicle registration. Decals issued will be the color of the year of expiration and display the month and year of expiration. If ownership of a watercraft changes, the new owner must notify the Arizona Game and Fish Department within 15 days. A boat owner must notify the department within 15 days with an address change or if a watercraft is stolen. No number other than the one issued by the department may be displayed on the forward half of any watercraft. The certificate of number must be aboard when a watercraft is in use. If a certificate of number is lost or destroyed, a duplicate may be obtained from the department for a $2 charge.
All undocumented motorized watercraft operated, moored, or anchored on the waterways of Arizona must be numbered. The owner must file an application for a number with the Arizona Game and Fish Department on the forms provided. The number issued must be displayed on each side of the bow, along with the current registration decal issued by the department. Nonmotorized watercraft are exempt from registration requirements.

Belassi Burrasca is handcrafted in Austria, features a turbocharged 320hp engine under the saddle, and is only available in Europe (at least for now). But the Burrasca is making waves. It won a coveted Red Dot design award in 2021, added a BIG SEE Product Design win in ’22, and was Newcomer Brand of the Year at the German Brand Awards. Below all that highly customizable style is lots of lightweight carbon fiber. It’s in the engine access hood, deck, rear spoiler, and exhaust covers. It’s in the muffler—except for those blingy double-chromed exhaust tips and reverse flaps. Up top, carbon even graces the handlebars and seat base. And check out the dual dash displays. The second includes an actual G-Force meter—which will prove that the Burrasca’s hull and oversized aluminum sponsors did produce a turn that brutal—starting at $46,000. Source Robb Report
