Personal Watercraft Insurance, Wear a lifejacket when you are on the water.

Monday, Oct. 31st 2016 6:37 AM

Save the arguments about being a good swimmer or having loads of experience on the water because sadly Florida leads the nation in annual drowning deaths. And you know what? Most of the people who drown each year were thrown overboard. Stats don’t lie but vanity kills: get a lifejacket; and if you’re really worried about it looking too bulky, invest in one of the newfangled and much smaller inflatable ones that will inflate on impact.

Invisalign, Invisible Braces

Saturday, Oct. 29th 2016 6:25 AM

Straightens Your Teeth Without Using Bands

Invisalign, invisible braces, straightens your teeth without using bands, metal brackets or metal wires making Invisalign more visually appealing. Invisalign also allows you to brush and floss normally to maintain healthy gums and teeth; and there are no wires, metal or brackets to cause mouth abrasions and discomfort.

Invisalign Teen system straightens your teeth with custom made clear aligners that are comfortable and invisible. The aligners give less force per week and less pain than do fixed appliances (traditional metal braces). Invisalign is known for being much faster than traditional braces with most treatment times lasting less than a year.

Personal Watercraft Insurance, Power Yacht Docking

Monday, Oct. 17th 2016 6:17 AM

Yacht insurance will provide coverage for accidents, storms, injuries and tricky situations that don’t always turn out like you hoped- such as docking under less than ideal circumstances.

Aside from not wanting to be the next viral video of a power yacht docking disaster or having to call your yacht insurance company to make a claim, nobody wants to damage their yacht this way (or any other!). But power yachts are notoriously difficult to dock and this is why we are seeing more and more videos of power yacht docking, um, challenges.

Now of course, if you’re experienced in boating (or yacht insurance coverage) you know how many factors can make docking a challenge for even expert crew members. How Do Invisalign Braces

Thursday, Oct. 13th 2016 6:09 AM

Effectively Move Teeth

Like brackets and arch wires, Invisalign braces or aligners move teeth through the appropriate placement of controlled force on the teeth. The principal difference is that Invisalign braces not only control forces, but also controls the timing of the force application. Instead of pulling your teeth to their target position like traditional braces, Invisalign pushes your teeth to its location. At each stage, only certain teeth are allowed to move, and these movements are determined by the orthodontic treatment plan for that particular stage. Invisalign 3D imaging technology plans out the movement and figures out how many aligners will be needed to get the job done.

Personal Watercraft Insurance, I’m Buying a Boat, What about Insurance?

Tuesday, Oct. 11th 2016 6:52 AM

When you’re buying a boat, you’re probably thinking more about the places you’ll go and the things you’ll see rather than which boat insurance policy will give you the best coverage.

We don’t want to spoil your dreams of sunshine, gentle waves, and good times with friends and family, but you need a boat insurance policy to protect your investment before you hit the water.

If it’s your first time shopping around for a boat insurance policy, here are some facts you need to know:

Investigate specialized insurance – while you may be able to purchase insurance for your boat through your homeowners insurance company the policy may not provide ample coverage. It’s a good idea to compare a quote with a marine insurance specialist and ask detailed questions about coverage.

Boat safety features – if your boat has safety features like wireless auto tethers or depth finders, or if you have taken boating safety courses, it is worth mentioning this to your insurance specialist when you discuss your boat insurance policy. There are some safety features and training courses that could help reduce your rates.

Variables – rates will vary depending on a variety of factors, such as the age of the boat, the kind of vessel, and how powerful the engine is. A company that specializes in marine coverage will know and understand the risks and liability issues unique to recreational and commercial boaters.

Agreed Value Coverage – this means you and your insurer agree on a value for the boat, which will be the payout if something happens. Conversely, if you are insured for market value, you will get the depreciated value in the event of a loss.

Seasonal boat use – if you live where you’re not boating all year round, make sure that your insurance covers you for time on the water and out and check if a longer lay-up period (time out of the water) reduces your rates.

Special situations – check to see if you will have coverage while towing or transporting your boat, if you travel anywhere with your boat on land or in water while it is in storage or docked at a marina, in the event of a natural disaster, or if it is damaged by vandals or thieves. It is also important to have liability coverage for any passengers you might have on your boat as well as for anyone you might encounter in the event of an accident.

Personal Watercraft Insurance, Difference Between Umbrella and Bumbershoot Policies

Sunday, Oct. 9th 2016 6:10 AM

When it comes to understanding commercial marine insurance, the difference between umbrella and bumbershoot policies can be tricky to navigate. Thankfully with our commercial marine insurance specialists, you don’t have to figure it out on your own. Here’s what you need to know:

An umbrella insurance policy works the same in commercial marine insurance as it does for other insurance coverage, for example home or auto. If you have umbrella policy it offers excess coverage in case of catastrophic loss. Generally, an umbrella insurance policy is written over primary liability policies – perhaps general liability for a commercial enterprise, liability for a commercial marine vessel, and perhaps employer’s liability. The umbrella policy will provide for excess insurance when the primary coverage is exhausted and potentially provides coverage not offered by the underlying policies; for example, if you are sued for damages to someone else’s property or for accidentally causing injuries to someone.

A bumbershoot insurance policy is a specialized kind of umbrella coverage intended for risks associated specifically with wet marine liability (but it could also apply to non-marine risks). Like other umbrella policies, bumbershoot policies provide broader coverage than underlying primary liability insurance policies. Because it is designed with marine risks in mind, a bumbershoot may offer coverage for unique expenses related to collision and salvage as well as liability coverage that meets the standards set by the Longshoreman and Harbor Workers’ Act. This type of commercial marine insurance policy is often selected by shipyards, for example.

Marine business owners face unique challenges and need to assess risks when determining which available commercial marine insurance options will protect them best. For example, it may be wise to consider environmental liability (including third party considerations such as bodily injury, damage to property, and business interruption) or workers’ compensation for marine businesses.

The good news is you don’t have to figure out these comprehensive coverage options on your own.

Personal Watercraft Insurance, Ordinance and Law Coverage

Friday, Oct. 7th 2016 6:15 AM

If you experience a loss will your insurance compensation be adequate for you to rebuild?

The one constant in life is change, this holds true for building regulations. It is impossible to foresee what new regulations may be enacted. In the event of a loss new ordinances and laws can have a significant impact on the cost of rebuilding. Ordinance and law coverage will provide compensation for expenses created by new legislation, however not all marine insurance policies include ordinance and law coverage.

How important is ordinance and law coverage for marine business owners?

If you own a building and something happens to the property, your insurance replacement costs may not be enough to cover upgrades or changes required by ordinances or laws to ensure that the structure meets current building codes.

If you have to rebuild or repair a building to meet current building codes and ordinances, but your commercial property insurance specifies “like kind and quality” (in other words, as it existed before the loss), you may have to pay out of pocket to comply.

It is possible, particularly with older buildings, that local laws and ordinances will require the structure to be rebuilt with features different from the original building. Common upgrades might include plumbing, electrical, or heating and cooling systems.

Sometimes the valuation for the marine business insurance will cover the costs to rebuild, but it may not and then the owner will have to pay for the changes that meet current building codes.

If marine business owners carry building ordinance or law coverage, they are protected when:

● A building is partially damaged but the law requires the undamaged part be demolished. The coverage will cover the loss in value for the undamaged part of the building and demolition of the undamaged section.
● Repairing or reconstructing both the damaged portion of the building and the undamaged portion (if demolition is required or not).

With laws and construction codes always subject to change, ordinance and law coverage is worth considering for newer buildings as well as aged structures.

Invisalign – May Not Be Appropriate For Certain Case

Monday, Oct. 3rd 2016 6:10 AM

Invisalign may not be appropriate for certain cases of misalignment or complex bit problems. If Invisalign is not appropriate, traditional orthodontics can still be used for such conditions as: Crowding and spacing fret then five millimeters. Invisalign is currently approved for adults and teenagers with completely erupted permanent teeth who can faithfully follow the directions for treatment.

How long they have to wear the aligners each day, what they can and cannot eat and drink, seeing their dentist for follow up appointments. Invisalign may also be a alternative for certain simple malocclusions (bit irregularities). Invisalign braces are great because they are hardly noticeable when you wear them, and they are removable. Clear braces can give you that beautiful smile by straightening your teeth without anyone knowing.
