Do you need insurance for a Personal Watercraft in California ?

In California, you are not required to have boat (pwc) insurance, however similar to driving an car, there is a minimum age required to operate certain water vehicles. You should also be sure to carry enough life jackets for anyone on board a boat, and make sure they are readily accessible.
