Personal Watercraft Insurance, Boat Capsized Causing the Death of an 84 year old
Two men one 84 and the other 82, were boating when their vessel capsized in Raritan Bay in November 2014 on a Tuesday morning. The men were fishing in the 18-foot boat about 2.5 miles from shore.
FDNY rescuers performed CPR on the 84-year-old, who could not be saved, while the 82-year-old was taken to Staten Island University Hospital South ‘conscious and alert,’ police said.
The U.S. Coast Guard investigated and found that the anchor line wrapped around the engine, which caused the vessel to tip over.
