All watercraft licenses expire on December 31 of the last year the license is valid. Normally, you will receive a notice by mail to renew your license for another three-year period. But whether you are notified or not, you are responsible for renewing the license for your watercraft. When you obtain your new license certificate and validation decals, discard your old license certificate and replace the expired decals on your boat with the new ones. Remember, only the cur- rent set of decals must be showing!
