The Utah PWC Youth Education Course fee is $34.95 per student and must be passed only once. Students must be at least 12 years of age to complete the course. We strongly suggest that students thoroughly study the material prior to taking the test. If you fail the test, you will be able to retake the test at a later date. You will only need to pay for the course once the test has been passed.
Upon completion of the course, and once the test has been passed and paid for, you will have the opportunity to print out a temporary safety certificate that will be valid immediately; you will then receive your permanent safety certificate in the mail.
Non-Utah Residents: Non-resident PWC operators, from 12 through 17 years of age, may complete Utah’s PWC Education Course or they may carry a wallet-sized card, issued by the respective state governmental boating authority, in their possession. In addition, they must also follow Utah’s operator age and adult supervision requirements when operating a PWC on any of Utah’s waterways.
The minimum requirements for a wallet-sized boating course card are: 1. Title of the certificate and/or course completed. This must include the identification of the state for which the card was issued. 2. NASBLA logo and associated course approval text. This must indicate the type of course completed. 3. A unique, traceable, serialized control number assigned to the person to whom the certificate is issued. 4. The name of the person to whom the certificate is issued. 5. The date of birth of the person to whom the certificate is issued. 6. The gender of the person to whom the certificate is issued. 7.
